We spent a few hours last weekend shooting video for "Teflon." I don't know whether this is our theatrical origins showing or what, but this band excels at low-tech, low-budget special effects. It is delightful.
We are very much leaning into the weird for this one (which is only right for a song with a rhythm track created from modem noise). Some of my favorite effects came from mounting music-stand LEDs on the person of band members.

Of course, it does not hurt to have a video professional as a bandmate. Zach arrived with colored LEDs and a smoke machine, in addition to the welding helmet he's sporting in the middle photo above. I haven't seen most of the footage of myself yet, but it definitely involves a dress made of bubble wrap as well as some nightmare fodder with a six-foot gauze sheath.
